Lourdes Echevarría García

Dr. Lourdes Echevarría currently works as an Associate Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUCPR). She is researcher, member of various committees, including dissertation and thesis students. Author, national and international speaker. Editor of research journals (Peer reviewed Journal). Experience in various pharmaceutical industries in the departments of Quality Control, Environmental Safety, Chemistry and Microbiology laboratories at Abbott, Davis & Geck, Pharmacia and Pfizer. She also offered master’s courses in the environmental planning program at Ana G. Mendez University-AGMU. She contribute to several journals, such as Scientific editors (peer review). She has several investigations and publications. She belong to different associations such as Society of Microbiologists of P.R. (SMPR), International Mycology Association (IMC), Puerto Rican Mycology Society (SPM), Latin American Mycology Association (ALM), PHI KAPPA PHI Honor Society, among others.
Research Interests: Microbiology, Mycology, Ecology, Conservation, Environmental risk assessment, Natural Resource Management, Biotechnology, Environmental sciences, Industrial Microbiology, Medicinal Plants, Solid and Water Waste Management, tropical Ecosystems, and Bioremediation.
