The Australian Government Research Scholarship 2023 application period is currently open. International and domestic students participating in an approved HDR course may apply for RTP scholarships. Under the auspices of the AGRTP International Scholarship, all international students from all corners of the world are qualified to study a master’s or doctoral degree in Australia. A fully funded scholarship, the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) is available for the academic year 2022-2023.

All academic majors and fields are eligible to apply for the scholarships in order to pursue postgraduate degree programs. Scholarships from the Australian Government are provided in the fields of engineering, computers, mathematics, health sciences, the arts, professions, and sciences. All costs will be covered by the scholarship.

The RTP program includes more than 40 Australian universities. With excellent administration and instructional strategies, all universities are highly ranked globally. These are the renowned research universities.

Financial Benefits

The Australian Government Research Scholarship 2022–23 is a fully funded scholarship available to international students studying in Australia. The following expenses are covered by the scholarships for Australia in 2023.

  1. Stipend: An annual living allowance of AUD 28,854 (tax-free, 2022 value) for up to 2 years for a research master’s degree and up to 3 years for a research doctoral degree.
  2. Full Tuition Fee for Masters up to 2 Years & for PhD Degree up to 4 Years.
  3. Medical Funds (paid sick leave).
  4. Overseas Student Health Cover
  5. Travel Allowance Airfare ($1000 travel from their home country to/from Adelaide).
  6. Submission of the thesis (e.g., editing, printing, binding) costs AUD$840 for doctoral candidates. AUD$420 for Masters by Research candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Here are the fundamental requirements for receiving an Australian scholarship for a master’s degree or a PhD.

To apply, students must be from abroad.
Applicants must show proof that they have met the university’s English language proficiency standards. Applicants must have earned a degree that is at least the equivalent of an Australian Honours degree.
